Who’s the new gal?

A great book for leaders taking on a new position is called The First 90 Days – By Michael Watkins. It talks about the steps to take and accomplishments to show in the first 90 days and so on.  A leader in a new position has to balance the current performance with the longer term outlook.  And even more than that, did you know that just because you were successful in a previous role, it is no guarantee you will automatically be successful in your new role.  In fact, you probably won’t be unless you adapt old strategies to your new situation.  That can be a wonderful thing!  You will be looking at things a new way, including their individual characteristics, challenges and opportunities.
