Clear Your Mental Clutter

Small Pulling Out BrainIn my job creativity is really important but like everyone else,  so are the details.  I have read a book called “Your Brain at Work”.  One suggestion that author David Rock suggests is freeing your brain of “the list that rattles around in your head” — Did they send the package?; I need to remember to get tickets to Minneapolis; What day of the week is our anniversary?; When was my client returning to town?”.  His research says that the fewer variables you hold in your mind, the more effective you are at making decisions.  Sound familiar?  So do like I do and grab your smart phone and use the voice memo app.  Talk into it and record what’s on your mind to free yourself.  Try it because relieving mental clutter works.
